Roger Waters The Wall at Hartford

Friday night was the Roger Waters, http://www.rogerwaters.com/, The Wall concert in Hartford, so it was a matter of waiting for my friends to get out of work and college before we could get together to go to the show.

I started off by going to Casa De Nana, http://casadenana.com/, for lunch, where I dined on a quesadilla, burrito, and enchilada. After lunch, I headed over to Matties Cafe to visit my niece, Laurel.

After Eric got off work, we met up at Tom's house, before going to the Student Prince, a.k.a. The Fort, http://www.studentprince.com/, to meet up with Johnny and Dave.

The Student Prince Cafe was opened September 24, 1935. About twenty steins adorned the bar when it opened; this collection has grown to one of the largest in the United States. Twice a year a group of trusted employees hand wash the collection.

After a few steins, fried cheese, and the oyster sampler, we all piled into Eric's car and headed to Hartford to meet up with a few friends before going into the show. At the show, all of us went our separate ways, since we all had different seats. Eric and I had prime seats in the 6th row though.

The show was incredible, as they performed The Wall. They built the entire wall, one brick at a time across the stage, before tearing it down. There was even a flying pig, the schoolteacher, mother, and the girlfriend puppet.
