Mass Trip - Bruins vs. Senators - Bruins Win 4 - 0

Eric and I left The Westin Hotel and off to the TD Banknorth Garden to see the Boston Bruins vs. the Ottawa Senators on Tuesday night. On the way to the game, it was typical New England weather as a snowstorm came down upon us. Fortunately, the traffic moved steadily and we arrived around 7:00 p.m. Next was to get tickets for the game, fortunately we ran into someone selling a pair and we ended up getting 7 rows from the ice about a section over from the penalty box.

Boston dominated the play during the game and Tim Thomas was spectacular in net getting a shutout. Boston won the gaame 4 - 0.

After the game, Eric and I got together with Mark and Jim for a drink.

Next morning, it was back to Tampa. Mark ended up bringing back where he initially picked me up, to the airport.

Mass Trip - Feb 25 - 26

Monday was time to get ready to head to The Westin Hotel, http://www.starwoodhotels.com/westin/property/overview/index.html?propertyID=1036, in Waltham for the reason I actually came up there, the Tech Target Email and File Archiving Seminar, http://events.techtarget.com/emailarchiving/.

But first, it was time to get some lunch with Beth at one of my favorite Chinese restaurants, the Huke Lau, http://www.hukelau.com/. I ended up going with the General Tso's chicken, one of my favorites there.

Beth was going to drive me up to Waltham for the seminar, but came down with the bug that has been going around up there. So my friend Tom saved the day, and drove me to Waltham in a moments notice.

We, Sunbelt Software, http://www.sunbelt-software.com/, had a booth at the seminar where my Sales Engineer, Kyle, and I mingled and talked to the attendees about our email archiving solution, Sunbelt Exchange Archiver, http://www.sunbelt-software.com/Business/Sunbelt-Exchange-Archiver/.

After the seminar, it was typical New England weather, where another snowstorm was coming through as I awaited for Eric to get to the hotel where we were then heading to the TD Banknorth Garden to see the Boston Bruins, http://bruins.nhl.com/, take on the Ottawa Senators.

Sunday dinner at Chris & Tammy's house

Sunday is pasta day, as anyone who knows my family tradition. So it was off to my brother Chris's and his wife Tammy's house in Wales house for Sunday dinner.

All my nieces gathered over there since I was in town for the day, Laurel, Kristina, Tricia, and Samantha. The only one who didn't make it was Amanda, since she has moved to Tennesee with her boyfriend this past August. Tammy made stuffed shells and her brother, Vaughn, made homemade meatballs. There was also ziti and salad, to ensure that no one left hungry. Everything came out spectacular, and you can always tell when everyone is quiet while eating dinner. Laurel and Tricia also both made sure that they were going to be getting leftovers to take home with them.

Mass Trip

Saturday morning I flew up to Masschusetts for a business trip to take part in an email archiving seminar in Waltham. After landing at Bradley Airport, Mark picked me up and we headed back to his house.

Upon my arrival, I received a call from Steve and headed out to lunch with him and Leo at Dominicks in Three Rivers. I ordered a whole belly clam roll and we chatted with the waitresses, Candace, Courtney, and Nicole, while eating our lunch.

After lunch, I headed over to Tom's house. He was having a house warming party for some friends and family that afternoon/evening. We chatted while he was shoveling snow from a Nor'Easter that hit the day before. My trip up here was the first time I saw snow in seven years, keep in mind that I normally don't fly up during the winter. One thing that I couldn't believe was that the snow looked and felt exactly the same as when I last saw it seven years ago.

Then I ended up hooking up with Johnny, where we went to meet Beth down at the Brookside for a drink and ran into Uncle Dave and Uncle Floyd there.

On my way back to Mark's house, I stopped in at the Turnpike Package Store to see my friend Ed. I ended up hanging out there for a bit talking.

For dinner, it was time to go to Casa Da Nanas, one of my favorite Mexican food restaurants. I've been going there for over 20 years now. Back when I used to work at Friendly's Restaurants main plant in Wilbraham, Eric, Bill, and I used to be there for lunch every Friday.

Green Iguanna with Rich

Wednesday night turned out to be a non-stop evening. Rich and Jackie picked me up and we headed to meet up with their friends at a million dollar home on Gulf Blvd. While there,we saw the lunar eclipse, where it had a red color to it. Next time we'll see another one won't be till 2010.

Next, we headed over to the Green Iguanna, http://www.greeniguana.com/, where it turned out to be another crazy evening. My friends Matt the Bratt, http://www.myspace.com/mtbflz, and Dr. K, were DJing down there, which they do every Wed. night. Wed is generally the best night of the week to head down to the Iguanna since it is when they have $1 drink specials.
