Füssen, Germany

After returning from the castle tours, we then had the night to ourselves where we walked and explored old town Füssen.

At the end of the night, we came across a restaurant right near our hotel where we had some delicious deserts.

Alpsee lake

After concluding our castle tours, we stopped down to Alpsee Lake for some relaxation before heading to the Bavarian Kings Museum, then back to Füssen.  Alpsee Lake is beautiful, with it's turquoise water and wild swans.

Hohenschwangau Castle

After we completed our tour of the Neuschwanstein, it was on to the Hohenschwangau Castle, https://www.hohenschwangau.de/.  After doing quite a bit of walking on the climb up to the  Neuschwanstein Castle plus the tour, we decided to take a horse drawn carriage up to the top.  On our way up, we could see the Alpsee lake.

Upon arriving to the Hohenschwangau Castle, we lucked out getting in on the next tour through the castle.  The tour was amazing, we also learned more about King Ludwig, where this castle was used primarily for hunting season.
