Giuseppe Quintarelli winery

After arriving at the train station, we were met by Carlo, of Car Service Verona http://carserviceveronaitaly.com/, who brought us to our hotel, Hotel Cavour, http://www.hotelcavourverona.it/, where we dropped off our luggage, and got ready for our first of two wine tours.

Our first wine tour was at the Giuseppe Quintarelli winery.  The Giuseppe Quintarelli winery is famous world-wide, and is known by some as the 'Godfather of Amarone' wine.  The tour was very informative, as we learned their family history, and how they evolved as a family run business to where they are today.  Giuseppe Quintarelli  is one of the few wineries that does their wine labels hand written.
