Saturday at Lobsterfest in Key West

On Saturday afternoon, Erin and I headed down to Lobsterfest, http://www.keywestlobsterfest.com/, where about 5 blocks of Duval Street were closed and the restaurants all had lobster on the grill, lobster on a stick, lobster rolls, etc. Erin and I went to the Conch Republic booth, where wehad Maine and Key West lobster rolls, I also had grilled lobster on a stick at the Guy Harvewy booth. We also stopped by the Wyland Gallery,http://www.wylandgalleries.com/, and a few other art galleries as we toured Duval Street.

Friday in Key West

After we checked into the Merlin House, we decided to take a walk down Duval Street and had our first drink of our vacation at Mangoes, then proceeded down Duval Street, where we stopped by Margaritaville, http://www.margaritavillekeywest.com/, Hogs Breath Saloon, http://www.hogsbreath.com/key-west/, Garden of Eden, Sloppy Joes, http://www.sloppyjoes.com/, Guy Harvey, http://www.guyharveysislandgrill.net/, etc.

Key West here we come

On Friday morning, Erin and I took off for the weekend on Sea Coast Airlines, http://www.seacoastairlines.com/, to Key West where their famous Lobsterfest, http://www.keywestlobsterfest.com/, was taking place. We flew into Key West Airport, http://www.keywestinternationalairport.com/, and then took a cab to the Merlin House, http://www.historickeywestinns.com/properties/merlin/merlin_guesthouse.htm, where we were staying at.

Daiquiri Deck

On Monday night, the night before Richie left to go back to the Army, we met up at the Daiquiri Deck, http://www.daiquirideck.com/madeira/, for a few drinks.

Buffalo Strange at Jimi Bs

http://www.beachcomberflorida.com/, where I had a room reserved. When we arrived, we received a free upgrade to an ocean view room overlooking the ocean. That night, my friend's band, Buffalo Strange, http://robpieniak.weebly.com/, was playing at Jimi Bs, http://www.beachcomberflorida.com/st-pete-beach-restaurants-dining-bars.asp.

Party for Richie

On Saturday afternoon, the family got together over Uncle Frank & Aunt Nancy's house for dinner since Richie would be heading back to Iraq in a few days.
