Penguins vs. Lightning

On Tuesday night, Erin and I went to see the Penguins, http://penguins.nhl.com/, vs. the Lightning at the St.Pete Times Forum, http://www.sptimesforum.com/.  The game was shortly after the trade deadline, so it had  the Pengins additions of Bill Guerin and Chris Kunnitz.  Our seats were right behind the Penguins bench so we were able to get a good view of the players up close.    

During the first period, the puck came flying over the glass heading right towards us crashing down towards the seats.  Erin and the guy sitting next to her both dived down looking under their seats for the puck.  I looked over, saw it sitting on the metal that connects the two seats, and picked it up.

Grandma's 87th Birthday - Family Party

On Saturday, we celebrated Grandma's 87th birthday at Uncle Frank and Aunt Nancy's house.  

Unknown to most of the family, there was going to be a surprise guest at the party.  Chris, Tammy, Laurel, Trisha, and Samantha recenty moved down to the Orlando area from Massachusetts, but didn't tell anyone, except for my parents and I.  The whole familywas very excited to have Chris, Tammy, and the rest of their famly down here in Florida.  It even brought a tear to Grandma's eye when he walked through the door.  The afternon was filled with food, drinks, and laughter as we celebrated her birthday.   

Grandma's 87th Birthday - Bascom's Chop House

On Tuesday, Grandma's actual birthday, the three of us went out to dinner to celebrate at Bascom's Chop House, http://www.bascoms.com/.  Dinner was excelent and, afterwards, the waitress brought out a personal birthday cake and we all sang 'Happy Birthday' to her.
