Eric Clapton in Tampa

Saturday, I went up to see Eric Clapton at the Ford Amphitheater with Brenda. We headed up there early in the afternoon to see my friends Rob & Scott, http://www.buffalostrange.com/, play at the Seminole Hard Rock Cafe Hotel & Casino, http://www.seminolehardrocktampa.com/, at the lobby bar, http://www.seminolehardrocktampa.com/entertainment/lobby-bar. Then went over to the pool bar for a few drinks, http://www.seminolehardrocktampa.com/dining/pool-bar-and-grill.

Afterwards, we headed over to the Winghouse, www.winghouse.com/, to get some dinner before the show. It was packed with all the Clapton fans. We had some naked wings and buffalo shrimp, http://www.winghouse.com/02_ourMenu.asp. While eating dinner, we even caught the end of the Kentucky Derby, http://www.kentuckyderby.com/2008/news/2008/05/03/big-brown-wins-kentucky-derby-134.

We then headed over to the Ford Amphitheater to see Clapton. When we arrived, we caught the last few tunes of Robert Randolph while getting our drinks. He opened up the night with the blue's classic. Tell the Truth. A few songs later he played one of my all time favorites from Jimi Hendrix, Little Wing. The solos that he did were incredible as he tore up the stage time and time again. Here are a few reviews that were sent in by other Clapton fans from the show,
