On Sunday night I headed down to the Tamiami Bar in downtown St. Petersberg, Fl., to see the Dave Matthews Tribute Band, http://www.thedavematthewstributeband.com I met up with Crystal, and a few of her co-workers from the Don CeSar, http://www.doncesar.com/. I was there early and ended up getting a spot right in front of the stage before everyone else got there. It was quite the show and I ended up getting some good pics.

Boston at Ruth Eckerd Hall
On Sat. night, Brian and I went and saw Boston at Ruth Eckerd Hall, http://www.rutheckerdhall.net/. It was a great show as they played all their hits, such as Boston, Peace of Mind, Don't Look Back, Foreplay/Long Time, etc.

Smashing Pumpkins at Ruth Eckerd Hall
On Wed., Aug. 20, Erin and I went to see the Smashing Pumpkins, http://www.smashingpumpkins.com/, where they made a rare appearance at Ruth Eckerd Hall, http://www.rutheckerdhall.net/. It was the first time they had toured in 8 years. I was very impressed, having never seen them before. Billy Corgan just tore up the guitar playing riffs of Jimi Hendrix's Star Spangled Banner, Pink Floyd's Run Like Hell, and even pulling out the kettle drums for Set the Controls for the Heart of the Sun.

Jim Florentine at Sidesplitters
On Thurs, Aug 12, Chad and I went to see Jim Florentine, http://www.jimflorentine.com/, at Sidesplitters, http://www.sidesplitterscomedy.com/. You may know Jim Florentine from watching Crank Yankers on Comedy Central, http://www.comedycentral.com/. He is best known for the voices of Special Ed, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JxazZRfbups, and Bobby Fletcher. We had the table right in front of the stage. There were also a few opening acts before Jim came on.
After the show, we stopped at the Freaki Tiki, http://freakitikibar.com/, to visit our friends Matt the Bratt and Dr. K at the new bar that our friend, Frank the Tank, recently opened.
